Statement

The work begins with observation, but it does not end there. Forms emerge through sustained attention—creatures, structures, and spaces that feel familiar without being nameable. Color is applied structurally, defining tension, movement, and relationship.

Over decades of practice, he has developed a visual language that resists easy categorization. The forms feel biological, architectural, and psychological at once. Some invite affection. Others provoke unease. Both responses are intended.

These paintings are not illustrations. They are investigations into how complex systems organize themselves—and how that organization can feel alive, strange, or unsettling depending on where you stand.
